Acknowledgements
The Rhein-Ruhr Feuerstätten Prüfstelle GmbH is a European notified test, inspection and certification body according to construction products regulation (Regulation (EU) No. 305/2011), notified body number 1625, and also accredited by the highest building inspection representative. We are authorized to perform type tests as basis for allocation of the CE label and tests with appropriate test report and approvals for the DIBt (Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik) and for the EOTA (European Organisation for Technical Approvals). As an inspection and certification body we issue certificates of compliance for allocation of the Ü-label on basis of external controls.

The CEN European Committee for Standardization accepted all European standards, according to which the Rhein-Ruhr Feuerstätten Prüfstelle GmbH performs their tests.
CEN-members are the national standards bodies of Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and United Kingdom.
In addition to the above-mentioned CEN member states, Chile also accepts our test reports.
DAkkS accreditation as basis for the notification by the European Commission
The DAkkS No. D-PL-17727-01-00 confirm the successful accreditation according to EN ISO/IEC 17025 by the DAkkS (Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle GmbH). This accreditation is the basis for the notification by the European Commission, notified body number: NB 1625.
Our quality standards, which underline the accreditation, are being confirmed by regular audits performed by system and expert auditors of the DAkkS. Furthermore, we attach importance to internal and external audits, which will be performed at least once a year by skilful and trained auditors.
Our services and test results are accepted by the signee of the multilateral agreement. Intention of the international accreditation network is the mutual acknowledgement of accredited testing laboratories to avoid technical handicaps to trade and multiple accreditations.
ILAC Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA)
The International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) is the world wide association for cooperation of accreditation bodies in the range of laboratories and inspection bodies. The states, which signed the agreement, acknowledge the accreditation of the RRF through the DAkkS.
Acknowledgement as testing, inspection and certification body according to LBO by the DIBt (Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik)
The RRF is approved by the DIBt based on the technical approval according to § 28 Abs. 1 of the building law of the country North Rhine-Westphalia – Bauordnung NRW (BauONRW) dated on 1st March 2000 (GV. NRW. S. 256), last revision 22nd December 2011 (GV. NRW. S. 729) as:
- Test body for grant of general technical approval
- Test body for inspection of construction products before certificate of conformity
- Certification body
- Inspection body for external control
Other acknowledgements and admissions
The Rhein-Ruhr Feuerstätten Prüfstelle GmbH is acknowledged as a DIN CERTCO testing laboratory, registered No. PL139. DIN CERTCO indents testing orders to independent test bodies, which fulfill the requirements according to ISO/IEC 17025 such as the Rhein-Ruhr Feuerstätten Prüfstelle GmbH. Furthermore the RRF is authorized to operate tests for the certification programme DINplus.
