Appearance on the Progetto Fuoco

Again this year, we were active for you at many fairs and events. Our heads of the laboratory were for example, four days at the Porgetto Fuoco in the beautiful Verona, Italy. We had more than 40 meetings and appointments for you.

This year, around 70 000 trade visitors and end customers visited the fair. They were able to examine the technical and design innovations of around 800 manufacturers on the 115 000 m² fairground.

Christmas campaign 2017

This year’s christmas campaign, the RRF supported three different institutions and associations: The children’s hospice “Balthasar” in Olpe, the children’s home “St. Josefshaus” in Essen and the SC Drolshagen.

With the children and youth hospice we support a very important institution, which offers a place of retreat for seriously ill children and their families. It supports families after a diagnosis of a serious illness. The little time left to the children in their young life should be filled with joy, laughter and happiness.

The children’s home St. Josefshaus has the goal, through intensive support and based on a Christian image, on the basis of qualified and differentiated, pedagogical and therapeutic concepts, to enable the here living kids, life their life in self-employment, with a meaning and as a member in today’s society.

It is important for the RRF to continue the support of sports clubs in these days, so that team sports do not perish. Promoting team spirit is an important feature for the RRF and is gladly supported.

E.F.A. – Technical meeting in Varna

On 17. – 19. October 2017 interested members as well as guests of the E.F.A. – European fireplace association met for the autumn meeting in the premises of Pertinger GmbH/Srl in Varna in the beautiful South-Tyrol.

During the meeting on 18.10.2017 various lectures were held:

Among others, our CEO Mr. Christian Droll gave a lecture about “Energy Labelling of local space heaters”. The positive feedback during the meeting showed how relevant this topic is. Other topics were the presentation “company cooperation and cartel ban”, as well as an interesting and detailed factory and company tour of Pertinger GmbH/Srl.

For the first time guest of the E.F.A. were invited to the general annual meeting on 19. October 2017, so they could get an interesting view in the information and internals.

The next meeting will take place on 03./04. May 2018 in Erfurt. The technical meeting will provide interesting presentation program again – of course, guest are  welcome. RRF goes “green”

Climate change, limited resources and rising energy prices force to make actions. New environmental regulations from politics and the wish from many companies for more sustainability promote a change for more energy efficient solutions.

Modern lighting technology helps to significantly reduce electricity consumption while at the same time improving the lighting quality on a sustained basis.

Therefore, we from the RRF have made our way. Towards a low energy, environmentally friendly and long term cost effective variant lighting supply by ways of LED lighting in our laboratory in Oberhausen.

Christmas Action 2016: RRF supports roterkeil.net

In this year´s Christmas campaign the RRF supports the foundation roterkeil.net.

Again the RRF-team wanted to be socially involved and supported the foundation roterkeil.net with a donation for the fight against child prostitution.
As well as last year we did not want to leave our customers empty-handed and therefore made some self made liqueur for you.

roterkeil.net is a network which promotes projects and supports measures for the fight against child prostitution. The network consists of a multitude if people who work hand in hand to counteract the crime of organized child abuse.

Through our action we want to make attention for the network.

New apprentice at the RRF

Since 01.08.2016 we have a new member with us  at the RRF.
Mr. Pascal Fischer will complete an apprenticeship as a merchant for office management. We welcome Pascal Fischer!

EFA technical meeting in the RRF in Oberhausen

On February the 4th 2016 interested members of the EFA – European fireplace association met for a technical meeting in the premises of Rhein-Ruhr Feuerstätten Prüfstelle GmbH to discuss different currently technical inquires.

The most important topics were:

  • DoP (Declaration of Performance
  • CE-marking: changes starting in 2016
  • connection requirements for wall duct
  • internal space guideline/type approval
  • EFA quality seal for supplies regarding to EN 16510, Art. 15a B-VG
  • BeReal project and sign

To this interesting meeting we could give a welcome to representatives of the companies Bullerjan GmbH, Dovre NV, ERLUS AG, Funda Abgastechnik, Hark GmbH, Joseph Raab GmbH, KWK-Plan, Kleining GmbH, Schmid Feuerungstechnik GmbH, SCHOTT AG, Superfire Kamine Vertriebs Ges.m.b.H, Weilburger Coatings GmbH and Westbo i Reftele as well as a reprensentative of the Zentralverband Deutscher Schornsteinfeger e. V.

The leader of discussion was Mr. Heinrich Göddeke (CEO of EFA – European fireplaces association e. V.)

Altogether we can look back on a successful, interesting and informative meeting. As well our guests were satisfied by their own accounts with the day and the exchange of information. We have been glad to host this event und give thanks to the guests for many positive feedback.

Christmas campaign 2015: RRF supports the Children and Youth hospice Balthasar

Christmas donation campaign for the hospice institution Balthasar in Olpe:

 

The RRF supports the Children and Youth hospice Balthasar in Olpe (Sauerland) with its Christmas campaign, following the guiding principle of the hospice institution “Do not start with a good purpose, but rather start with a little deed”.

 

For the team of the RRF it was important to engage socially this year. During the last years we always cherished the good cooperation with our customers with selected presents. For being able to donate the maximum possible amount under this year’s Christmas campaign, without letting our customers go empty-handed, the team of RRF baked Christmas cookies and sugared-roasted almonds with commitment and love

 

With the children’s and youth hospice we support a very important institution, which offers a place of retreat for seriously ill children and their families and which is standing by the families after the diagnosis of a serious illness. The little time that remains the children in their young lives shall be filled with joy, laughter and happiness.

 

During the visit, the management could assure itself of the great institution and the very important work of the staffs.

New technician on our branch office in Drolshagen

Mr. Kevin Schulte, who already worked as a trainee in October 2014 in our company complete successfully his study of machine engineering with the graduation of Bachelor of Science. For the practical part of his bachelor thesis he also gives support to some projects at the testing laboratory of the RRF. We are happy that since 17th August 2015 post-graduated he is working in the range of test engineering in our second testing laboratory in Drolshagen. Welcome in our team!

 

So we are going to open up more capacity as well as more capable service to you.

Summer Action 2015: RRF supports local Kindergartens and clubs

Reflective vests for Kindergarteners of Oberhausen:

The RRF supports the initiative of the road patrol of Oberhausen to equip the Kindergartener and pre-schoolers with reflective vests.

In this context the RRF donates reflective vests to Kindergarteners of the city.

Especially in the coming up autumn and winter the children on there future way to school should be seen much better by the eye of every traffic participant. 25 boys and girls received a radiant coloured reflective vest.

The garment equipped with reflectors on the front, back and sides will let the way to kindergarten and school safer.

 

DJK Adler Union Essen-Frintrop e. V. got a Defibrillator:

adlerunionThe RRF participates on the purchase of a defibrillator for the DJK Adler Union Essen-Frintrop e. V. on the sports facility “Frintroper Wasserturm”.

World wide 84 pro footballers died during the last 5 years by the sudden cardiac death on the football pitch.

A first step to reduce this number is the enlightenment. Because of that recently they are advanced educations to raise the participants awareness for this topic and teach them how to act in emergency.

Additionally a practical instruction on the defibrillator ensued. So the participants become – on one hand helper and on the other hand multiplicator to share the knowledge in the club – important persons in the fight against the sudden cardiac death.

The team of RRF is happy to support that the purchase in such a big club is an important step to minimize the risk and helps the athletes to feel more comfortable and safe on the football pitch.
